In this assortment pack you get a little bit of everything: experience a variety of origins, nuance, processing methods, and roast types. This taster includes four 1/4 lb. bags of coffee (1 lb. total). Our Assortment Taster features the following:

Cajamarca is the growing region in the northwest of Peru. There's nothing offensive or distracting about it (not too bright, not too complex, not earthy). Peru Cajamarca is smooth, sweet and clean. It also has definite milk chocolate flavor and caramel with slight hints of cherry.

El Salvador Honey Las Ranas
The estate name means "Hill of Frogs" because there is a lagoon with thousands of frogs that live in the middle of the coffee plantation. There is even a frog on the burlap bag. They have Rainforest Alliance Certification and are committed to being a good steward of the land and animals around them.
Las Ranas has more body than an African coffee, but otherwise, a lot of similarities exist. It is creamy with fruity and sweet qualities to it, namely strawberry and cherry. The fruit is much less prominent than in a natural-processed coffee, but just adds a sweetness in the background.Origin: El Salvador (Central America)

Roast: Light Roast
This Yirgacheffe coffee is from the subregion of Gedeo, grown by the Aricha co-op made up of about 700 farmers in the region. The main flavor is citrus, predominately lime - other flavors of tropical fruit, lemon and ripe dark fruit. The coffee has a thin/silky body, no earthy or fermented tastes, but a sweet aftertaste that lingers sweet and fruity. Drink it slowly and methodically, savoring the unusual but special fruity sweetness that the average coffee drinker has never experienced.
Processing Method: Natural
Roast: Light Roast
Sumatra Mandheling is characterized by low acid, flashes of bitter with sweet, bourbon-like complexity, herbal notes, spice, smooth, rich, not musty, great lingering aftertaste. The rich full body in this darker roast makes this coffee popular. Mandheling has a nice balance of flavor. Overall, you get complexity, body, and smoky characteristics and hints of spices/roots.Origin: Sumatra, Indonesia (Oceania)

Roast: Dark Roast

At Winona Roasting you will receive a quarter pound of coffee rather than a standard one pound bag. Four bags of Winona Roasted coffee are the equivalent of one traditional bag of coffee you would purchase at the grocery store.
Nope! We offer the option to have us grind the coffee for you for a small fee (for maintaining the coffee grinder!). Our coffee will ship whole bean unless otherwise requested to have the coffee grinded. We recommend shipping it whole bean and grinding fresh, right before you brew your coffee!
